How to become a member:
1. The Membership Secretary (MS) will make contact with an applicant who has expressed interest in joining UKI. This is usually following a recommendation by a current UKI member. Applicants can also apply independently by requesting an application form via our website or in person at one of our UKI events.
2. The MS will contact the applicant to explain our membership process. The MS will then issue an application form via our email. Our application form has fully details of our membership eligibility criteria.
3. The applicant should return our application form via our UKI email address Admin@kdu-uk.org accompanied by a photograph with our non refundable £5 application fee.
4. The MS, will confirm receipt and will present the application to the trustees. The Trustees. will usually take no longer than 1-week to consider the application.
5. Once the Trustees are satisfied that applicant fully meets our membership eligibility criteria; the application is forwarded to the general membership who will have a 2-weeks period to also consider the application and to give any feedback they may have about the applicant.
6. After the 2-weeks period has past, the applicant will be notified of the outcome of their application and will be invited to pay their 1st year annual subscription.
